Socotra Island has been referred to as the “Galapagos of the Indian Ocean” for its remarkable biodiversity. More than a third of its 825 plant species, 90% of its reptile species and 95% of its land snail species are not found anywhere else. Photographer Catalina Martin-Chico visited the island off the coast of Yemen.
