Denver-based photographer Matt Slaby has been documenting gun culture in Colorado since just before the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 2008 that gun ownership is an individual right protected under the Second Amendment. Since then, he has photographed the wide variety of gun owners he has come across.

So many women have come to work in Ivanovo, Russia, that it has been dubbed the “city of brides.” For a year, student photographer Alena Zhandarova used social media to find women living in her hometown, the country’s once-textile capital.

Through layered photographic images, the “Greater Than The Sum” project explores themes of past and present, personal and professional, and the operational dynamic of an artist collective.
